Family Housing
Safe and stable housing is only the first step. Our program provides mothers and their children with comprehensive support, including family stabilization, parenting education, life skills training, and employment assistance. We empower families to build a secure, independent future together because when we invest in a mother, we uplift her entire family.
Program Capacity: Maximum of 1 mother and up to 2 children per household.
Housing Placement & Eligibility
At I Am My Sister’s Keeper, we offer multiple structured independent living programs tailored to each resident's unique path to stability. Housing placement across our Houston-area locations is determined through an individualized assessment based on level of independence, program eligibility, and site availability.
To qualify for placement, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Independent Living Status: Residents must be fully independent in all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility, eating, and self-managing medications. We do not offer nursing care, medication administration, or skilled healthcare services.

Intake & Evaluation: Placement is not guaranteed. All applicants must complete a phone intake screening to confirm final eligibility.

Payment & Move-In: We accept SSI, SSDI, and private pay. Same-day move-in is available for qualified applicants to ensure immediate, secure housing.
